Alexandra DeFurio was born in Racine, Wisconsin and her Midwest roots are revealed in her down-to-earth warmth and charm. As a young girl, she fell in love with Frank Lloyd Wright architecture that is prevalent in her hometown and became a collector of the colored glass found on the shores of Lake Michigan. By middle school, her family moved to a ski resort in Colorado, the mountains and open fields became a part of her soul and this connection to nature is evident in her photography. She then migrated to Los Angeles in search of warmth and like-minded artists. Alexandra confidently directs her shoots and uplifts everyone around her. She values the collaborative process and creates honest portraits that reflect the connection she has with her subjects. She lives in the Hollywood Hills with her family and too many dogs.
Her credits include photographing seven published cookbooks, sixteen teen celebrity covers for Dream magazine including Ariana Grande and Zendaya, Bop, Tiger Beat, Us Weekly, HGTV, Glamour, InStyle, House Beautiful and Josie Maran Cosmetics.
